Circus Circus Description

With all the lights, performers and things to look at, it’s not a far stretch to compare Las Vegas to the best kind of circus. So it’s only fitting that one of the Strip’s landmark hotels is just that – a circus.

Circus Circus, opened in 1968, brings new meaning to the phrase “clowning around.” Kids, and kids at heart, will get a kick out of the actual clowns, jugglers and other circus acts that perform several times daily in the casino.

But Circus Circus offers more than just a chance to watch the fun. The carnival midway boasts the kinds of games that parents may remember from county fairs and that kids always seem to have a knack for. Whether it’s an epic battle of skills you’re looking for or just a fun way to decide who’s buying dinner, the midway is the spot to do it.

Like any good circus, Circus Circus has a big top – a big, pink top, to be specific. Visible from miles away, The Adventuredome, housed in the giant rosy dome, is an indoor theme park featuring an intense roller coaster called the Canyon Blaster and more than a few other rides sure to excite even the most discerning thrill-seekers. Families and small children can take advantage of the tamer – but just as fun – junior rides.

Adults looking for a little more adult amusement can head into the large casino and take their chances on one of many table games, numerous slot machines or in the race and sports book.

Rounding out the fun is an array of dining options that make those orange circus peanuts pale in comparison. Choose from restaurants like the unique Mexitalia X-Press, the Circus Buffet and The Steak House.

A Las Vegas institution, Circus Circus is one circus that’s always in town.
