LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Description

For the classic Vegas experience, visit the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton), where both business and leisure travelers are offered gourmet and casual restaurants, first-rate entertainment and world-class gaming action, as well as easy access to the Strip via the Las Vegas Monorail.

With a long history in the city, the LVH originally opened as the International Hotel in 1969 and served as the venue where Elvis Presley broke all Vegas show attendance records. Nostalgic photographs of the musical maverick and a bronze statue of him remain on display. The hotel continues to attract groundbreaking entertainers today. In addition to the big names headlining the LVH Theatre, the Shimmer Cabaret offers a more intimate setting that features "Nunsense," "The King" starring Trent Carlini and Sandy Hackett's "Rat Pack Show."

After an evening of entertainment, unwind inside the hip Tempo Lounge or sit by the bar outside the lounge at a table overlooking the gaming floor. Vince Neal's Tres Rios Cantina hosts two rollicking happy hours each night, during which you can enjoy an array of tequilas, signature margaritas, beers and appetizers -- like fish tacos and nachos.

Boasting several restaurants, the LVH truly has something to suit every taste. An enchanting Zen-inspired Asian garden, where a tranquil rain splashes down into a koi-filled pond, sits outside the entrance to the award-winning Benihana. Nearby, Casa Nicola and TJ's Steakhouse offer guests two more great choices in fine dining, while across the casino, the Paradise Café and The Buffet provide more casual options. Grab a quick cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a snack at Fortuna, located near the lobby.

In the casino, crystal chandeliers run the length of the ceiling, while natural light from the hotel's front entrance permeates the floor, which includes an array of games, from baccarat to slot machines. There is a glass-enclosed high-limit table area as well as high-limit slots. The SuperBook, an enormous race and sports book spanning more than 30,000 square feet, includes a VIP section for high rollers, the non-smoking Ultimate Fan Cave, a deli and the Eighth Pole Bar.

Accommodations at the LVH are elegantly appointed and feature several modern amenities. The standard and premium rooms offer plush pillow-top mattresses, fine bed linens, flat-screen televisions, internet access and MP3 ports. A simple upgrade gives guests access to the exclusive executive experience of the Resorts Club lounge, located on the 24th floor of the hotel's North Tower. Resorts Club guests enjoy complimentary breakfast, afternoon snacks and an evening wine and cheese reception as well as current newspapers and concierge services.

Guests may want to indulge in a relaxing body treatment at the The Spa, play a game of tennis or lay out by the hotel's palm tree-lined third-floor pool with its stunning views of the Strip. Guests may also want to shop in one of the LVH's many gift stores, carrying everything from souvenirs to apparel and jewelry.

The business-savvy traveler will be pleased to find that -- at nearly 200,000 square feet -- meeting space is plentiful at the LVH. A skywalk actually links the convention space to the neighboring Las Vegas Convention Center.

With its proximity to the Las Vegas Monorail, it's easy to travel from the LVH to just about anywhere on the world-famous Strip. But considering the wide variety of entertainment, dining and gaming options offered, you may never want to leave!
