Planet Hollywood Description

At the center of the world-renowned Las Vegas Strip, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino commands the limelight with unforgettable dining, amazing entertainment and exceptional shopping worthy of a standing ovation.

This famous Las Vegas casino was imploded with much fanfare in the late '90s, only to be rebuilt into an even more magnificent resort. Now the iconic resort has changed its image once again, transforming right before the public eye into Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino.

A ritzy lobby with black granite floors and textured glass walls has close to 2,000 back-lit LED bulbs decorating the Planet Hollywood check-in desk, while eight crystal chandeliers line the escalator, which leads up to the main casino floor.

The interior design of the casino itself provides a bright, airy ambience for the 100,000 square foot casino, with glowing, colorful neon lights hanging down from the four-story ceiling and LED lights lining the walls. A hip hangout called the Heart Bar provides ample people-watching opportunities with its black leather go-go clad waitresses and central location on the casino floor.

Thanks to a layout with multiple floors, gamblers will never be at a loss for action, with gaming options – including slots, blackjack, craps, poker, a sports book and keno – located on both the main or the mezzanine level, which also features several overlooks of the main floor.

Guests can enjoy casual dining at Planet Dailies, dine surrounded by vintage burlesque dancers at Strip House or enjoy the Japanese-inspired dishes with California accents at Koi.

Those seeking relaxation, will revel in taking a dip in one of two pools, or heading to the Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara for a therapeutic body treatment. Those who want to party, should check out Hawaiian Tropic Zone or the hip nightspot Krave, located adjacent to the Miracle Mile Shops, a massive, circular mall.

Access to the Miracle Mile Shops can be found in several locations, including the main casino floor at Planet Hollywood. Inside the mall, shoppers will find more than 140 shops and a dozen restaurants, as well as exciting entertainment like V-- The Ultimate Variety Show. A variety of original shows take place in the V Theatre inside the mall.The Theatre for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood, meanwhile, is one of the best concert venues in Las Vegas, featuring performances by some of the best and brightest stars in the world.

"The hotel is flashy and makes you feel like you are in Vegas, compared to other hotels I have stayed at, I would rate Planet Hollywood and easy 5 out of 5 stars. The staff was nice and very helpful, all the telephone services were great, and the position on the Strip makes it a great location to see some of the other wonderful hotels and casinos. If you are going to stay, splurge a little on your room, its totally worth it."

"This hotel is a strange representation of "Hollywood" from its bubble infested facade to the crystal chandeliers in the lobby to the constant, tortuous classic rock that blares from corner to corner. There isn't anything easy about staying here either. The parking is confusing, the front desk is impossible to find and signage is non-existent. We stayed here when it was Aladdin and we quite enjoyed ourselves. Somehow, after the transformation, like a Hollywood Club, it has become hard to get in to. I'd SKIP the velvet rope...it's not worth the wait."
