Meadows Mall Review
If you want to add a local Las Vegas feel to your shopping trip, Meadows Mall features department stores, along with specialty stores for every budget.
Department stores include Dillard's, JC Penney, Macy's and Sears. For ladies looking to splurge without going broke, Meadows Mall features inexpensive (but stylish) accessories at Claire's, fun and flirty dresses at A'Gaci Too, Styles For Less and XXI Forever. Stock up on makeup at The Body Shop and the Sephora section at JC Penney, or make a stop at Victoria's Secret and Frederick's of Hollywood to give your sweetie something to smile about later.
Fresh out of ideas for a gift? Meadows Mall has offers quirky finds at Spencer's, The T-Shirt Diner and Hot Topic. For something more luxurious, the mall has a dozen jewelry stores, including Zales Jewelers and Kay Jewelers. If shoes are all you want, you'll find all your favorite shoe stores, including Vans, Shoe Palace, Robert Wayne and Foot Locker.
If you brought the kids with you and they're getting antsy, treat them with a trip to the Disney Store. Or, take them over to the Healthy Living Play Area in the Macy's Court. The 1,640-square-foot soft play area is equipped with toys and activities such as slides and building blocks. Stroller parking, shoe cubbyholes and adult seating are available.
The Meadows' food court offers shoppers a variety of tastes. McDonald's and Hot Dog On A Stick offer a quick bite for those on the go. For dessert, have a sweet treat from the combination Dairy Queen/Orange Julius.
As with most malls, the parking is plentiful by the department stores. The best place to park, however, is in the back of the mall near Sears, at the "Yellow" entrance. From here you can start at the end of the mall, beginning on the second level and returning on the first (or vice versa, if you prefer). The layout is straightforward -- stairs and escalators are everywhere.
If you have extra time in your day, check out the Springs Preserve, only a minute or two away.
