Staff Report

Guests at B.B. King's Blues Club get more than just a taste of Southern-style cookin' when they dine there. They also get a hearty dose of classic soul music performed live by the Memphis All-Star Band and The Grant Garland Band. There's no better way to enjoy some "Famous Lip-Smacking Ribs" or a "Roasted Chicken Dinner" than while listening to songs made famous by artists like Otis Redding, Ray Charles and of course B.B. King.

Dinner seating for this show begins an hour before the live entertainment starts, giving guests an opportunity to get seated and order their meal before the performers take the stage. Almost every seat in the restaurant has a good view of the stage. There are three bars in the main restaurant area and another one located by the main entrance. For guests who want to do more than just sing along from their table, a small dance floor in front of the stage offers a place for the crowd to get down and get funky. The entertainment schedule is subject to change without notice.

The Memphis All-Star Band

The Memphis All-Star Band is a group of hand-selected musicians chosen to be the house band at B.B. King's. Complete with a full horn section, the band performs music inspired by the King of Blues, the Queen of Motown and the Soul of Funk. Guests will be reminded of why Aretha Franklin demanded "R-E-S-P-E-C-T," why Tina Turner "left a good job in the city" and why Ray Charles sang "Georgia On My Mind."

The Grant Garland Band

Grant Garland is a rising star in the music world. A talented pianist and guitar player, Garland wins over audiences with his ability to emulate and embellish upon musical influences from an array of iconic entertainers including Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Elton John, Sly & The Family Stone, Otis Redding and more. He's also a talented trumpet and flugelhorn player, enabling him to perform a wide range of music. Garland has performed in venues throughout the nation and has opened for various artists including Bobby "Blue" Bland, Exile, Preston Shannon and Jason D. Williams.

If you're looking for a night of music that's good for the soul, complemented with some Southern-style cookin', this is the show for you.
