Show Review

Shake, rattle and roll

By Caroline Fontein

Elvis Presley was the show to see in Vegas during his seven-year run at the Las Vegas Hilton from 1969 to 1976. Now you can see him performing again in his prime back at the Hilton in The King One Night with You starring Trent Carlini. The show visits every era of Elvis, complete with costume changes, more than 25 hit songs and all the hip-thrusting, pelvis-shaking moves of the King.

Carlini, who has been performing as Elvis since 1990, has one of the few remaining shows on the Las Vegas Strip that features only Elvis. His sultry voice and debonair smile have all the heartthrob qualities of the real entertainer. It's not hard to see why in July 2007, he won NBC's "The Next Best Thing," a game show where impersonators competed against one another and viewers voted to determine who won.

The real Elvis may have left the building, but Carlini's show is keeping his legacy alive as fans old and new relive the magic of a rock and roll legend.
