Spa Mio Review
At M Resort’s Spa Mio, the M stands for massages … multiple massages. Even the full-service salon has Shiatsu massage chairs at its three shampoo stations (as if the shampooing isn’t relaxing enough).
Whether it’s an aroma, stone or couples massage, the world-class spa will accommodate your needs in one of its 16 treatment rooms. Of course, the 23,000-square-foot spa goes beyond massage, offering specialized body treatments including wraps and facials. There is also a sauna, steam and hot tub wet areas, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Spa Mio is an elegant retreat with dark tones, shades of purple and sparkling chandeliers mingling with natural elements like fresh flowers, wall waterfalls, wood and brick. The men’s and women’s sides mirror one another in structure, but the décor caters to gender.
Spa Mio offers the latest in technology, including a new LED light therapy for micro exfoliation. This SoniLight is available as an enhancement to Spa Mio’s facials.
Patrons can even go organic and many of the treatments incorporate fruit scents. The Organic Oasis Wrap surrounds you with the scent of vanilla and fruit while the Organic Facial, certified by Bio-Cosmetique, uses herbal serums.
While awaiting treatment, patrons can help themselves to tea, espresso, coffee, bottled water and fresh fruit. Spa staff will even blend a fresh Smoothie Mio, such as the peanut butter and banana concoction Monkey Going Ape, available for $4.50. Mmm!
Spa Mio also caters to locals offering 25 percent off spa services to residents and full use of the facilities for only $35 a day.
The west parking lot at M Resort provides easy access to the spa, allowing spa goers to skip the casino if they wish.
