The tour also includes magnificent views at the narrowest, deepest part of the inner canyon, which lies at an astounding 3,000 feet vertically above the Colorado River. Discover the sights and sounds of Lava Falls Rapids, the untamed and biggest part of the river. Toroweap, a Paiute term meaning "dry or barren valley," refers to many local features, including the geologic formation and fault, the valley and the overlook.
