The past is never far from the present in Eldorado Canyon, which is also home to the Techatticup Mine. The remote area has a colorful history and breathtaking views. From fields of Teddy Bear Cholla cacti to rare geologic formations, photo opportunities are abundant. But the best photo you take will likely be one on the banks of Lake Mojave, the blue jewel of this secluded desert region.

Your tour of the mine will be professionally guided and very educational. You'll learn about the rough existence led by prospectors more than 100 years ago. At the very least, searching for gold, living in rugged terrain and among gunfights and lawlessness made for an eventful life in this frontier territory.
