Paul Shaffer knows a thing or two about talent. We mean, he did lead David Letterman’s house band for 30 years. So when he chose Las Vegas (of all places) to plant his microphone, we knew that we were in for a treat.

You know him from “Late Night with David Letterman,” but did you know that Paul Shaffer is a bonafide musical genius? He’s flexed his musical muscle to lead the band for the “We Are the World” finale of Live Aid, he was the musical director for the closing concert at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games and he even hosted CBS’s 1994 New Year’s Eve special. And on top of all that, he managed to find time to release two solo albums (his 1989 album “Coast to Coast” was Grammy nominated).

If you get the opportunity to ask Paul Shaffer a question or two about music, you should definitely take him up on that offer. He’s a walking music encyclopedia and we couldn’t be happier to have him in Vegas.
